Pourquoi les fichiers ZIP sont difficiles à corrompre correctement
A ZIP archive is read from the back: the end-of-central-directory record points at an index, and the index points at each compressed entry. That design makes archives resilient, and WinRAR and 7-Zip can often rebuild a damaged index. Breaking one convincingly means taking out every layer of that structure at once.

- End of central directory. The EOCD record in the final 64 KB is destroyed, which is what makes a file stop being a ZIP.
- Central directory entries. Every
PK\x01\x02record is overwritten, so no listing can be produced. - Local file headers. Every
PK\x03\x04record is destroyed, defeating the "scan for local headers" mode that repair tools fall back to. - Compressed payload. Entropy scattered through the entries means even a byte-level carve yields nothing intact.

Questions fréquentes sur ZIP
Can WinRAR repair the archive?
No. Its repair mode scans for local file headers when the central directory is missing. Both are destroyed, so there is nothing to find.
Are the files inside affected too?
Yes. The compressed entries are scattered with entropy, so even carving the archive by hand will not yield intact files.
What about JAR and WAR files?
Both are ZIP containers and use the same profile. The result loads in no JVM and deploys to no container.
Does the archive keep its size?
Yes by default. It looks entirely normal until something tries to open it.
