By accessing this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. What the service is

Files Corrupter is a free, browser-based utility that produces a deliberately damaged copy of a file you select. All processing happens on your device. We provide no storage, no transmission and no recovery service.

3. Permitted use

The tool is provided for lawful purposes including software testing, quality assurance, security research, IT training, education and personal experimentation. You may use it commercially at no cost.

4. Prohibited use

You must not use this service to:

Commit fraud or deceive someone into a decision they would not otherwise make.
Destroy evidence, records or data you are legally obliged to preserve.
Damage files you do not own or have no authorisation to modify.
Breach an academic integrity policy, employment contract or any applicable law.
Interfere with, overload or attempt to reverse-engineer the site infrastructure.

5. Your responsibility for the output

You choose the file and you choose what to do with the result. Corruption is irreversible: neither we nor anyone else can restore a file once its structure has been destroyed. Always keep an unmodified backup. You are solely responsible for any consequence of using or distributing a corrupted file.

6. No warranty

The service is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the tool will produce a specific result with any specific file, application or version, or that it will be available without interruption.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Files Corrupter and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or exemplary damages arising from your use of the service, including data loss, lost profits, academic or disciplinary consequences, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility.

8. Intellectual property

The site design, text and source code are owned by Files Corrupter. Files you process remain entirely yours; we never receive or claim any interest in them.

9. Availability

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice.

10. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The current version always governs your use, and material changes will be reflected in the date above.
